There is no printed name of the weaver on this card. The overall design however is consistent with the later Stevens card frames.
Whilst this image of Her Majesty does not appear anywhere else, it can be seen that her face is the same as the bookmark sb1628: Queen Victoria / Born May 24th, 1819 / Crowned June 28th, 1838, whilst the crown and shawl are the same as the Stevens portrait, so500: Victoria, Her Majesty Queen (facing right - woven '1837 Jubilee 1887'), and as such, there can be little doubt that Stevens was the weaver of this portrait. |
