A landscape view of the exterior of the Glasgow Exhibition of 1888. This rare subject is not listed on the standard back-labels, indicating that the picture was probably sold only at the Exhibition. Examples are found on type B card-mounts - normally B2.
A contemporary review of the Exhibition noted:

  Mr. Thomas Stevens has a rather peculiar looking Jacquard loom, which is constantly attended by a crowd of onlookers while at work. It weaves, in silk, portraits, book-marks, pictures of the Exhibition, and other pictures . . .
