The stiff card mount to which this silk bookmark is still attached is not typical of Stevens, although it does have his name clearly printed.
This same bookmark has also been seen still attached to the stiff backing paper used to support it whilst in the post, and the printed design of that paper was identical to the one Godden identified as being of the 1870-1873 period.
