This Stevens woven silk is mounted in a continental frame, with Germany language words. With the perforated edging, there is the impression this card had a front cover for the address, so the actual silk would be cover whilst in the post.
The silk is a reduced size version of the Stevens portrait silk of Windthorst, recorded as so584.
