Harrison was the 23rd President of the United States, having been Senator for Indiana before his Presidency. As recorded on this silk, he was inaugurated on 4th March 1889, and remained President until 4th March 1893.

The silk above is a modern re-mount, with no back label and no printing on the front. It is assumed to be of Stevens manufacture as, other than the woven words above the portrait, it is identical to the portrait of Harrison recorded as so316 on this site.
