This short favour does not have a makers name woven on the reverse, and as such might not be of STEVENS manufacture. The image however is identical to the STEVENS portrait of Harrison [recorded as so316].

It would seem to have been a Presidential campaign ribbon for the 1888 election, with Morton as his running mate, with a campaign heavily in favour of protective tariffs. Harrison being successful, to become the 23rd President.
