Size of Silk:
13.7 cm long by 5.3 cm wide
Alternative back-ground colours:
Various colours have been used. Three versions shown, one has purple leaves and the bottom motif is in drab, another has green leaves and bottom motif is in red (with pointed end and tassle), and the third has blue leaves and the bottom motif also in red.
Comments:
The Shakespeare's Tercentenary Commemoration bookmarks were issued in a set of three, of which this design is the middle one, and all were retained by a button. The top one, "The Bard of Avon" is the only one with the actual words "Tercentenary Commemoration".
Also note that it is only the top silk which has the woven Stevens name, and when issued with the button, all three had pointed tops.

The three silks were however also issued as single bookmarks, when they had flat tops, as this one, and either scalloped bottom (as the purple leaves version) or intended to be folded over to form a pointed end (as both red bottom ones - one pointed, the other still unfinished).
