Grant postcards usually have printed card designs. The image above is key to understanding the embossed card, as it is the only embossed postcard on which the Grant name is printed.

In similar fashion to Stevens, these Grant postcards have an embossed pattern round the opening for the silk. The essential feature is the four anchor designs in each corner.
There are regional variations to this, with the shamrock for Irish cards and thistle for Scottish cards.

It will also be seen in the image above that around the central embossed design is another rectangular pressing. This is unique to Grant, and is the link to a second, different, embossed design attributed to Grant.
