In the image above, several letters and words are in blue coloured silk. This postcard is also commonly seen with these letters and words in black coloured silk.

Grant is known to vary the card colours (many of the Scottish scenes have tartan cards), and an image of a blue card is included above so as to demonstrate this variety.
