A PRESENT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL
INVENTIONS EXHIBITION LONDON 1885

Size:

cushion:
circa 9.5cm square

silk picture:
6.0cm wide by 8.5cm deep

Comments:
This padded cushion is made of red silk, with a Grant silk picture on the front. This was originally woven around the edge with gold wire.

There is no makers name on the cushion, although it is confirmed that the silk picture was woven by Grant, as it is identical to the image used on the picture from the exhibition, titled International Inventions Exhibition, London, 1885 [recorded as gt26 on this site].
