The silk used in this postcard is the same as that used in the portrait silk, so228 - Ecce Homo.
As can be seen in the images above, the earlier version of the card has the printed title, whilst the later version has the circular embossed design more typical of the Stevens postcards.
Also shown is the same silk mounted in a typical German postcard; with words printed at the very bottom " Seidenbilderverlag von Engelbert Birmes, Crefeld. " It is believed that Stevens sold unmounted silks to the German market, to be mounted in locally designed and printed cards.
