It is not known how this bookmark is signed, and might not be of STEVENS manufacture.
 
A Stevens advertisements of April 1863 and of 1869-1870 record various religious ribbons, including a set which could matches the set shown above. The same description though could also relate to a set of three narrow ribbons with pointed ends (recorded as sb990).
 
These same adverts though also record a set of two narrow bookmarks, recorded as Chants & Hymns. These two have been identified as being sb506 (Chants) and sb1006 (Hymns). The design of alternating circular pattern with IHS in one circle and a cross pattern in the other, which is a feature of these two ribbons, is the same as the ribbons above, and it is possible all these ribbons are of STEVENS manufacture.
