This bookmark is still attached to the stiff backing paper used to support it in the post, and on that paper is printed the name: " THOMAS W. BAND, Manufacturer, COVENTRY. " The design of this printed logo though is that of Welch & Lenton
Whilst it is not known how the actual bookmark is signed, this site records other bookmarks with both the "WELCH & LENTON. COVENTRY" woven name and the printed THOMAS W BAND backing paper, so there can be little doubt the bookmark above was also woven by WELCH & LENTON.

In view of the recorded link, it is assumed that BAND was an agent for Welch & Lenton.
