THE PICTURE DEPICTS THE KERSHAW FOUNTAIN AND
THE CHADWICK FREE LIBRARY, WHICH WAS DONATED
TO THE TOWN OF MACCLESFIELD IN 1876 BY DAVID
CHADWICK M.P. THE LIBRARY CLOSED IN 1994 AND
THE BUILDING IS NOW TO BE USED AS THE
REGISTRARS OFFICE.
