Comments:
Grant's name is printed on the very early designed card, even though it is missing from the later version. In both images however, the design of the printed borders is exclusively that of GRANT.

Radley records the silk image as the Highland Steamer " Columba "

Grant also used this same design in his woven pictures, one recorded as gt365: 'Gainst Wind and Stream (By River) - Woven in the Dundee Exhibition 1888 (paddle steamer), and a second version recorded as gt525: On the Clyde.
