This silk comprises the individual portraits of The Duke of Cornwall and York, and The Duchess of Cornwall and York mounted together in a single card frame.

This same silk was originally issued with the title "Their Royal Highnesses / The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York ", which is recorded on this site as go23, whilst Edward and Alexandra were the Prince and Princess of Wales.

After Edward became king, the Yorks became the Prince & Princess of Wales, and although Grant issued these as individual titles, the actual silks remained the same.
Hence, whilst the silk above records the title as THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES, the individual silks are those of the Duke & Duchess.
