Comments:
H.M.S. Jupiter was the fourth ship to bear that name. She was a Majestic-class pre-dreadnought battleship; launched in 1895 and commissioned in 1897. She was eventually decommissioned and scrapped in 1920.
Initially assigned to the Channel Fleet, she underwent a refit in 1905, and with pending obsolescence, joined the Home Fleet in 1908. At the outbreak of the First World War, she became a guard ship on the River Tyne, then an icebreaker to Russia, and after a refit in 1915, transferred to the Suez Canal patrol. She was scrapped in 1920.

The Majestic Class battleships were:

H.M.S. Caesar
H.M.S. Hannibal
H.M.S. Illustrious
H.M.S. Jupiter
H.M.S. Magnificent
H.M.S. Majestic
H.M.S. Mars
H.M.S. Prince George, and
H.M.S. Victorious.
So far, only four Grant silks are recorded, being Hannibal, Illustrious, Jupiter and Mars.
