It is not known how this ribbon is signed on the reverse.
As however the design is almost identical to the ribbon titled Benj. Harrison / (No Free Trade) / Republican Candidate / 1888 (recorded as gb100), which is signed, it is reasonable to assume this ribbon was also made by GRANT.
In particular, the design of the eagle in front of the portrait is identical.
